The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent to correct his name in the birth certificate of his son as 'Sivaprakasam' instead of Prakasam and issue fresh certificate, based on his representation, dated 07.01.2017. 2.It is stated that while issuing the birth certificate, the respondent has wrongly entered the name of the petitioner as 'Prakasam' instead of 'Sivaprakasam'.
In support of the petitioner's contention that his name is 'Sivaprakasam' and not 'Prakasam', he relied on Transfer Certificate issued to the petitioner's son, by the Department of School Education and Identity Card issued by the Election Commission of India. In all those documents, the name of the petitioner is stated as 'Sivaprakasam'. Therefore, he sought the correction to be made in the birth certificate issued to his son. To that effect, he made a representation on 07.01.2017.
3.Considering the above-stated facts and circumstances, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 07.01.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law by taking note of the documents filed by the petitioner in support such claim. Such exercise shall be done https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
by the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
