Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to accord permission and provide adequate police protection for conducting "Aadal Padal cultural program" which is scheduled to be taken place on 19.02.2017 in connection with the festival of "Arulmegu Mariamman Temple" at Therkutheru, Thillampatti, Therampalayam (Post), Manachanallur (Taluk), Trichy District.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting programme of Adalpadal in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that the petitioner has given a representation on 15.02.2017, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

Police Station, Trichy District is directed to look into the representation dated 15.02.2017 and dispose of the same immediately.
