Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to allow the anti social elements under the banner of Caste Associations, Merchant Association and or in any other political parties name to perform bandh and hunger strike on 22.02.2017 at Thisaiyanvilai, Tirunelveli District as against various legal process and competent Courts order in curtaining mining operations in the surrounding sea shore places forthwith.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents not to allow the associations mentioned in the petition to call for bandh and hunger strike on 22.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has represented that on the basis of representations given by various associations, a Peace Committee Meeting is going to be held today.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has also represented that the petitioner has already given a representation.

5.Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, this Court is of the view that the petitioner can also take part in the Peace Committee Meeting on the basis of his representation. 6.In fine, the petitioner is directed to participate in the Peace Committee Meeting which is going to be held today on the basis of the representation alleged to have been given by him. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
