This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to dispose of the Appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 13.11.2020 as against the inter-se-seniority published by the fourth respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.18759/2020(2)/A2 dated 13.10.2020 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court. 1/3

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Counsel appearing for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, he preferred an Appeal before the second respondent as against the seniority list drawn by the fourth respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.18759/2020(2)/A2 dated 13.10.2020. The said Appeal is pending with the second respondent for more than a year without any progress. Hence, the petitioner seeks mandamus to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the Appeal within a prescribed time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the Appeal preferred by the appellant is still pending and the same shall be disposed of at the earliest and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for both sides, and also considering the limited scope of prayer as sought by the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on merits, directs the 2nd respondent to disposal of the Appeal dated 13.11.2020 preferred by the petitioner at the earliest and pass appropriate orders therein, in accordance with law and on merits, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of . No costs.
