PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to appoint afresh trustee(s) and the members of the District Committees after affixing a notice inviting applications for trustees in each concerned temple and the District Committee in every temple in the concerned District.

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] This writ petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus direct the respondents to appoint afresh trustee(s) and the members of the District Committees after affixing a notice inviting applications for trustees in each concerned temple and the District Committee in every temple in the concerned District.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the Government issued an order for the appointment of trustees in temples.

3. It is needless to state that the trustees are to be appointed strictly in accordance with the provisions of the H.R and C.E. Act and Rules and considering the other criteria fixed.
