The wife, who is facing proceedings for divorce under Section 13(1)(i-a) of Hindu Marriage Act, on the file of the Family Court, Madurai seeks transfer of the same to the Family Court, Trichy solely on the ground of convenience.

2. Despite service, the respondent/husband is not appearing either in person or through counsel, duly instructed. 3.Even in the original petition filed before the Family Court, Madurai, the wife is shown to be a resident of Trichy.

4. Considering the convenience of the wife as well as the husband, H.M.O.P.No.441 of 2020 is withdrawn from the file of the Family Court, Madurai and transferred to the file of Principal Subordinate Court, Trichy, which is also empowered to deal with matrimonial matters, arising outside the jurisdiction of the Family Court, Trichy. The Family Court, Madurai is directed to transmit https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Tr.C.M.P(MD)No.285 of 2020 the papers to the Principal Subordinate Court, Trichy forthwith. Accordingly, this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. However, there will be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
