ORDER

This petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members so as to enble them to enjoy the property at Door No.2/615 (Panchayat D.No.2/618), Survey No.490/33 at Kulathur, Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District 1/3

2.The contention of the petitioner is that the private respondents 4 and 5 are causing hindrance to the business of the petitioner and they are also abusing the customers of the petitioner in filthy language.

3.Mr.R.Erottuchamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and would submit that the complaint lodged by the petitioner was registered as Crime No.190 of 2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 341, 323, 427, 379 and 506(i) IPC., on 19.12.2020 and that investigation is still pending.

4.At this juncture, the petitioner's counsel contended that the respondent police have not considered the petitioner's representation, dated 18.10.2020, in which, he has requested the police to give him adequate police protection. 5.Considering the same, the respondent police is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 18.10.2020 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the respondents police are also directed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.190 of 2020.

6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
