Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent i.e. the District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar to arrange to complete the enquiry within a specified time frame and to dispose off the disciplinary action on merits and in accordance with law within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Honourable High Court. The District Revenue Officer Virudhunagar may also be directed to disburse the subsistence allowance from the month of February 2016 to the petitioner.

ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent i.e. the District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar to complete the enquiry within a specified time frame and to dispose of the disciplinary action on merits and in accordance with law within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court and that the District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar, may also be directed to disburse the subsistence allowance from the month of February 2016 to the petitioner. 2.It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was placed under suspension and he has been paid subsistence allowance after the filing of this writ petition.

Therefore, he prayed that the respondent may be directed to complete the enquiry within a time frame and to dispose of the disciplinary proceedings within a time frame. 3.Having regard to the limited relief sought for, the respondent is directed to proceed with the enquiry on day-to-day basis without adjourning the matter beyond seven working days at any point of time and complete the disciplinary proceedings expeditiously.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
