ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the first and second respondents herein to grant necessary permission and also provide adequate police protection on 15.09.2018 for conducting the Vinayagar Procession at namely Aanantha Vinayagar statue situated at Devar Colony, North inside street, Thiruvanaikovil, Trichy-5 on the basis of the petitioner representation dated 08.09.2018.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the festival is being conducted during the month of Aavani every year and this year, it has been decided to conduct the said festival on 15.09.2018 at Devar Colony, North inside street, Thiruvanaikovil, Trichy-5 . The petitioner had given a representation dated 08.09.2018 to the respondents seeking for permission and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate would submit that the petitioner will have to abide by the conditions that are imposed by the respondent police, while conducting the festival. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection on 15.09.2018 for conducting the Vinayagar Procession at namely Aanantha Vinayagar statue situated at Devar Colony, North inside street, Thiruvanaikovil, Trichy-5.

5.It is made clear that the respondent police is at liberty to impose any conditions to ensure the peaceful conduct of the festival and the petitioner is bound to comply with the same. 6.Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
