O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give permission and protection to conduct Aadal Padal programme on 13.08.2016, in connection with 42nd Pongal Urchava Vizha of Arulmighu Sri Gowrimariyamman Kovil, situated at Ward No.92, Kovalan Nagar, Madurai City, based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2016.
2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the programme is being conducted by the villagers regularly in order to promote harmony during the above said festival period; that a representation was given to the 3rd respondent, but, however, the same was not considered by the 3rd respondent so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would further submit that as the aforesaid festival is celebrated in a peaceful manner by the villagers, there will be no untoward incident on account of this celebration. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, gave an undertaking that the third respondent would reconsider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.07.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.
6.In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.07.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law forthwith, as the programme is scheduled to be held on 13.08.2016.
7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
