Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2016 and to conduct a Peace Committee Meeting for conduct the Kumbabisekham of Sri Poonguzhali Amman Thirukovil after completion of renovation work by inviting all the groups and if any amicable settlement arrived at between the parties, then the 1st respondent to permit the parties to perform the Kumbabisekham or in case, if no compromise is arrived at between the parties, the respondents may be directed to pass suitable order within a time frame.

O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2016 and to conduct a Peace Committee Meeting for Kumbabisekha festival of Sri Poonguzhali Amman Thirukovil, after the completion of renovation work by inviting all the groups.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that based on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.07.2016, the Tahsildar has been requested to conduct a Peace Committee Meeting and to settle the issue and that the representation of the petitioner would be considered subject to the result of the Peace Committee Meeting.

5.In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.07.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, subject to the result of the Peace Committee Meeting.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
