Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to protect the petitioner and his property and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to ensure the life and the petitioner's property are protected and the petitioner able to live with security and dignity as per Section 20 of Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules 2009.

O R D E R
The dispute between the father/petitioner herein and son has ended in filing the writ petition seeking protection of life and property of the petiitioner. The petitioner alleges that the fifth respondent, who is his son through first wife threatened him with dire consequence and making all attempts to grab his land at 1/3
Oruthattu village and therefore, he has given a detailed representation to the second respondent on 15.11.2017. However, no action has been taken so far.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation of the petitioner was considered and as of now there is no threat at the hands of the fifth respondent. The first respondent, District Collector, who is the Executive Magistrate himself or through his subordinate will take necessary steps if there is any real threat to the life and property of the petitioner herein.
3. Regarding the request to take action against the fifth respondent, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would further submit that if a fresh representation is given by the petitioner herein to the first respondent, District Collector, the same shall be taken up for enquiry and necessary orders will be passed.
4. Recording the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to entertain the protection petition from the petitioner herein and dispose it of in accordance with law within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt of such petition. No costs.
