Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to expedite proceedings in D3/952/2016 pending on the file of the first respondent within stipulated time frame fixed by this Court. ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to expedite proceedings in D3/952/2016 pending on the file of the first respondent, within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.D.Rameshkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the second respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.

3.With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is being disposed of at the admissions stage itself.

4.The petitioner, in order to make correction in the UDR patta, has given an appeal before the first respondent in Appeal No.D3/952/2016 as against the second respondent and the same is pending for all these years. Therefore, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, if the said appeal is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directed to be decided on merits within the time frame to be stipulated by this Court, the petitioner would be satisfied. 5.I have heard Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent, who would submit that, the said appeal of the petitioner would be considered and decided by the first respondent, within a time frame.

6.Having regard to the said submission made by both parties, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following directions:- "that the first respondent is hereby directed to decide the appeal in Appeal No.D3/952/2016 of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing both the petitioner as well as the second respondent and final order shall be passed thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

No costs.
