O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by V.BHARATHIDASAN, J.) The petitioner is a practicing advocate, belongs to Thappathi Village, Pudhur Panchayat, Thoothukudi Highway. Since there is no bus stop in the petitioner's village, they have made a representation to the authorities to provide a bus stop. But the representation has not been considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the place in which the petitioner seeks for bus stop belongs to National Highway. Already, the concerned officials approached the National Highway Authorities to allot a site to provide a temporary bus shelter. Now, they also provided temporary bus shelter in that place and once permission is granted, they will provide permanent bus stop.
3. Considering the fact that now the petitioner's representation is active consideration of the authorities, the Block Development Officer, Pudhur, Thoothukudi District, the 4th respondent herein, is directed to take active steps for providing the bus stop, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 17.07.2021, as early as possible.
4. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
