Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to take immediate steps to construct necessary Boundary Wall for the campus of Government Boys Higher Secondary school, Melur, Madurai District, repair all toilets and provide bore water to toilets and give safe and adequate drinking water facility to all students, consequently directing the respondents to build a new Science laboratory building for students with all adequate facilities to Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Melur within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) The writ petitioner came across a news item in the Daily Dinamalar portraying the poor conditions of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Melur, Madurai District. Even though, hundreds of students are studying in the said school, there are no infrastructural facilities. The writ petitioner personally visited the school and was satisfied that the news item was factually correct. He therefore represented to the authorities praying for remedial intervention. Since no response was forthcoming, he filed the present writ petition. 3.It is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader that toilets have been repaired and water supply has been restored.
But, that is not sufficient.
The other infrastructural lacuna pointed out by the writ petitioner will have to be addressed. We direct the third respondent to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner in this regard and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.This writ petition is disposed with the above direction. No costs.
