Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the impugned order dated 20.02.2017 passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to give permission and protection to perform the "Aadal-Padal" programme held on 26.02.2017 to respect of the temple festival namely "Sri Sankara Nainar Kovil-Maha Sivarathiri Thiruvizh" situated at Naduvippati, Sivagangai District. For Petitioner : Mr.S.T.Sasidharan Tamilkani For Respondents : Mr.M.Govindan, Special Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for records relating to the impugned order dated 20.02.2017 passed by the second respondent and quash the same and also for giving necessary direction to the respondents to give permission for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of certiorarified mandamus.
2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

order stating that the persons who are going to perform Adalpadal programme would wear obscene dress.
4.Considering the reason given by the second respondent and also considering the fact that already a representation has been given, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. 5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the impugned order dated 20.02.2017 passed by the second respondent is quashed. The second respondent is directed to look into the representation alleged to have been given by the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of two days and if there is any infraction in performing the programme by the actors, directed to take appropriate legal action against them.
