This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C seeking for quashment of C.C.No.8 of 2023 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukkottai.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that on the basis of a complaint given by the defacto complainant, a case has been registered in C.C.No.8 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukkottai. The petitioners have also filed a complaint against the defacto complainant, thereby, a case has been registered as C.C.No.39 of 2023. During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that if a direction is given to the trial Court to expedite the trial by fixing specific date to complete the trial, it will meet ends of justice.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the charges have already been framed against the petitioners and the case is posted for trial.

Considering the circumstances, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukkottai, to expedite the disposal of C.C.No.8 of 2023 as quickly as possible and dispose of the same not later than five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the 2/4

second petitioner allegedly working in Scotland and has recently married to a British National. The prosecution is directed to produce the witnesses without fail as directed by the trial Court. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
