ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondents to issue patta in respect of the property situated in Survey No.428/23, Mandavadi Village, Oddanchathiram Taluk, by considering his representation dated 30.07.2021.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.A.Ananda Raj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the petitioner, he has been in possession and enjoyment of the above mentioned property with an extent of 3 cents for

the past several years. Based on his long possession, he submitted a representation on 30.07.2021 before the second respondent seeking issuance of patta. The first respondent, in his proceedings in O.Mu.No. 1618/23/A6, dated 14.03.2023, directed the second respondent to fix the cost of the plot to issue patta to the petitioner on payment basis, by taking into consideration that the petitioner is in Government service. Subsequently, the second respondent, in his proceedings in Na.Ga.No. 465/2024/E3, dated 28.02.2025, directed the Firka Surveyor to submit a fresh proposal fixing the extent of the property in possession of the petitioner and proper cost. Thereafter, there is no progress. Therefore, the petitioner has come with the above mentioned prayer. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on written instructions, would submit the proposal for issuance of patta to the petitioner on payment basis is under consideration of the second respondent.

5.The said statement made by the learned Additional Government

Pleader appearing for the respondents is recorded. The second respondent is directed to complete the process and pass final orders on the request of the petitioner on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
