O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the third respondent Police not to harass the petitioner by way of interfering with the civil dispute.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that there are business transaction between the petitioner and unofficial respondents, wherein, the petitioner stated to have given Rs.22,00,000/- to respondent No.4.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on the other hand, submits that, respondent No.4 has presented the complaint before the Commissioner of Police, which was inturn, transferred to respondent No.3 and the Police have initiated the enquiry in respect of the contents of the complaint of respondent No.4 and the petitioner instead of appearing for the enquiry has approached this Court and reported that the Police will complete the investigation as soon as possible.

On hearing of both sides and considering the materials on record, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the enquiry in respect of a petition given by respondent No.4 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say that, in case, if the dispute between the petitioner and respondent No.4 are purely civil in nature, the respondent Police are not expected to intervene and directed them to approach the appropriate Civil Court.
