Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission for conducting the cultural events like on 28.02.2017 Karakattam will be held at night, on 01.03.2017 Adal Padal will be held at night and on 02.03.2017 Aadal Paadal with Folklore musical event will be held at night on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 21.02.2017 in connection with the 30th annual celebration at Arulmigu Sri Kannanur Mariamman Temple, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that on 21.02.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 21.02.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
