Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to solve the public grievance to provide drainage facilities and drinking water in Shenbagam Pillai Street, Ward No.43, Tirunelveli Corporation based on the communication of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.E1/0702/2016 dated 15.02.2016.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to provide drainage and drinking water facilities in Shenbagam Pillai Street, Ward No.43 within the limit of Tirunelveli Corporation, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned counsel, has taken notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents 3 and 4.

3.It is seen from the records that by way of proceedings dated 15.02.2016, the concerned authorities have taken appropriate steps to provide drainage and drinking water facilities. 4.Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. 5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed without costs and the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to provide drainage as well as drinking water facilities mentioned in the place mentioned in the petition within a period of two months.
