The petitioner seeks for a direction to the second respondent to consider his representation, dated 05.01.2017, wherein and whereby he sought for issuance of patta in respect of the property measuring 12 cents in Survey No.168/9 situated at Venganellur Village.

2.Needless to say that it is for the second respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the rival claimants, if any. Therefore, this Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner.

3.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass an order on the representation of the petitioner dated 05.01.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of rival claimants.
