PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime Nos. 315 of 2018 and 577 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police.

COMMON ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A1, who was arrested on 06.11.2020 in connection with the case in Crime No.315 of 2018 for the offence under Section 392 IPC and in Crime No.577 of 2020 for the offence punishable under Section 393 IPC, he seeks bail in both the cases.

2. Today, when the matters are taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the allegation as against the petitioner is that he has indulged in chain snatching. Apart from these two cases, he is also involved in eight previous cases. He further submits that the earlier bail petitions filed by the petitioner were dismissed by this Court vide order dated 23.02.2021, in Crl.O.P.(MD)Nos.2442 and 2438 of 2021.

3. The details of the previous cases of the petitioner are as under:

(i) Cr.No.643 of 2020 - u/s. 392, 397, 429, 452, 506(ii) IPC & 4 of TNPWH Act;

(ii) Cr.No.12 of 2019 - u/s. 380 and 457 IPC (iii) Cr.No.11 of 2019 - u/s. 380 and 457 IPC (iv) Cr.No.10 of 2019 - u/s. 380 and 457 IPC (v) Cr.No.601 of 2020 - u/s. 392 IPC (vi) Cr.No.527 of 2007 - u/s. 380 and 454 IPC (vii) Cr.No.303 of 2007 - u/s. 380 and 457 IPC (viii)Cr.No.260 of 2007 - u/s. 380 and 454 IPC

4. Considering the seriousness of the offence and the antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petitions are dismissed.

5. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in these two cases, the investigation was over and final reports were also filed, which have been taken on file as C.C.Nos.2 and 3 of 2021 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ramanathapuram.

6. Since the final report in these two cases have been filed and the same have been taken on file as C.C.Nos.2 and 3 of 2021, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial in these two cases and dispose of the same, within a reasonable time, not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
