Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to give permission and protection for conducting the cultural programme on 01.03.2017 including dance programme to celebrate the 12th Maha Kumbabishegam festival of Sri Karuppanaswamy Kovil Festival at Maniyakaranpatti Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District. For Petitioner : Mr.D.Malaichamy For Respondents : Mr.M.Govindan, Special Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting cultural programmes in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 18.02.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
