ORDER

The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the appeal filed before the Revenue Divisional Officer in February, 2020. 2.The petitioner claims title to a property bearing S.F.No.721 at Elumalai Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District. In connection therewith, it is stated that there is a dispute between the petitioner and the third and fourth respondents herein. It appears that a patta was issued in favour of the third and fourth respondents. The petitioner filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer on 06.02.2020 for cancellation of such patta. The present writ petition is filed because the said appeal has not been disposed of till date.

3.Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of the first and second respondents. In view of the nature of relief prayed for, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.

W.P(MD)No.15772 of 2021 4.The documents on record include a copy of the appeal filed by the petitioner before the first respondent on 06.02.2020. The petitioner states that such appeal has been heard and that the petitioner even submitted written arguments. As such, the petitioner is entitled to the expeditious disposal thereof. 5.Accordingly, without going into merits of the matter, the first respondent herein is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal in Na.Ka.No.474/2020/A2 after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the third and fourth respondents herein and any other parties thereto. Such appeal shall be disposed of by a reasoned order issued within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.W.P.(MD)No.15772 of 2021 is disposed on these terms without any order as to costs.
