The prayer in the writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.11.2016 and grant the Electricity Service to the schedule mentioned property.
2.Mr.S.M.S.Johnny Basha, accepts notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for the third respondent. By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that with regard to the reconnection or giving fresh service connection to the dwelling house of the petitioner, the petitioner has given a
representation dated 26.11.2016 to the first respondent. Even though the said representation was given in the month of November 2016, the same was not considered and no order has been passed thereon. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that if the first respondent is directed to consider the said representation and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law, the petitioner would be satisfied.
4.Heard the learned counsel for the respondents. 5.In view of the said submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.11.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law with regard to the service connection of the petitioner and within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
