Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents No.1 to 3 to take steps for celebration of SRi Chinna Ayyan Kovil Maha Sivarathiri Festival in Keeranur Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District without claiming any first honour by the fifth respondent herein or any other person based on the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2017.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to

give necessary permission for conducting the festival mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents 1 to 3.

3.It is seen from the records that on 15.02.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, the third respondent can be directed to consider the same.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the third respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 15.02.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
