seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission to conduct temple festival on 12.07.2024 at Arulmigu Sri Vinayagar Sri Magha Kaaliamman Sri Maha Mariamman Sri Karuppannaswamy Kovil situated at Pilathu Merkku Manthai, Pilathu Village, Vedasendur Taluk, Dindigul District to perform pujas based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.05.2024 within a time frame as stipulated by this Court. ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to grant permission to conduct temple festival on 12.07.2024 at Arulmigu Sri Vinayagar Sri Magha Kaaliamman Sri Maha Mariamman Sri Karuppannaswamy Kovil situated at Pilathu Merkku Manthai, Pilathu Village, Vedasendur Taluk, Dindigul District, by considering his representation dated 21.05.2024. 2/6
2. The petitioner apprehended that the proposed respondents will create a law and order problem during the temple festival. Therefore, he seeks permission to conduct the temple festival.
3. Initially, the petitioner has not added the proposed respondents as parties to this writ petition. Pursuant to the direction of this Court on 08.07.2024, the petitioner has filed a petition in W.M.P. (MD)No.13523 of 2024 to implead the proposed respondents as respondents 3 to 5 in the writ petition.
4. Mr.Vidyasagar, learned counsel, who takes notice for the newly impleaded respondents submits that the petitioner has proposed to conduct temple festival by discriminating and eliminating the newly impleaded respondents and their family members. 3/6
5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner denied the said contention and submits that they are not discriminating anybody. The newly impleaded respondents are also having a right to participate in the festival. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that they will not discriminate anybody and will permit all the persons to participate in the festival.

In view of the said submission, this writ petition is allowed with a direction to the respondents Police to grant permission to conduct temple festival at Arulmigu Sri Vinayagar Sri Magha Kaaliamman Sri Maha Mariamman Sri Karuppannaswamy Kovil situated at Pilathu Merkku Manthai, Pilathu Village, Vedasendur Taluk, Dindigul District. The petitioner shall ensure that all the persons are given due respect during the temple festival. No costs. 11.07.2024 ogy NCC : Yes / No.
