This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 1 and 2. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today (ie., 21.07.2022), the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents Police 1 and 2 submitted that on the complaint given by the third respondent, the petition enquiry was conducted and on enquiry, the petitioner has appeared and submitted that a civil suit is pending before the District Munsif Court, Melur, in O.S.No.108 of 2021. Hence, the petition enquiry was closed as civil in nature. The same is recorded. 4.Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner if he faces any criminal threat from the third 2/4

respondent, he will approach the second respondent police for taking action against the third respondent. The third respondent is directed to appear before the second respondent police for enquiry and work out his remedy before the civil Court.
