Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents forthwith to maintain Vinayagar Putheri Kulam comprised in S.No.990, by providing shutter and pond sluice facilities and consequently direct them to desilt the Vinayakar Puthery Kulam forthwith, ensuring enough water gets collect and store in all times.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to put up shutter and sluice facilities in the tank mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.
2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for all the respondents.
3.The main contention putforth on the side of the petitioner is that the tank mentioned therein is comprised in Survey No.990, Anjugramam Village, Kanyakumari District. Further it is averred in the petition that there is no shutter and sluice facilities in the tank mentioned therein. Under the said circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed. 4.Considering the nature of the relief sought in the writ petition and also considering the fact that the tank mentioned in the petition is comprised in Survey No.990, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.
5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed without costs and the eighth respondent is directed to put up shutter and sluice facilities in the tank mentioned in the petition within a period of six months.
