PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to accept the petitioner's voluntary retirement proposal dated 14.08.2018 and permit him to retire from the post of Physical Educational Teacher of Government High School, Sakkimangalam, Madurai.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to accept the petitioner's voluntary retirement proposal dated 14.08.2018 and permit him to retire from the post of Physical Educational Teacher of Government High School, Sakkimangalam, Madurai.
2.Mr.A.Thiagarajan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as Physical Educational Teacher at Government High School, Sakkimangalam, Madurai on 07.12.2010. Due https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to his ill-health, he decided to quit his job and gave a representation to the respondents on 14.08.2018 for voluntary retirement. But on such representation, no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court for the relief as stated above. Further, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it is suffice, if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.08..2018.
4.In reply, the learned Government Advocate would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2018 would be considered as expeditiously as possible on merits and in accordance with law. 5.In agreement with the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2018 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
