ORDER
The present writ petition is filed for Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry based on the proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 13.05.2025.
2. Heard M/s.T.Akalya, the Learned Counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M. Lingadurai, the Learned Special Government Pleader for the Respondents-1 & 2 and M/s.M.Aasha, the Learned Government Advocate for the 3rd respondent and perused the material documents available on record.
3. The petitioner contends that he belongs to the Therkku Theru Vagaiyaraa community. There are several members in the Therkku Theru Vagaiyaraa, and a few individuals are not allowing the petitioner to conduct the festival. Hence, the petitioner submitted a complaint to the
first respondent. The first respondent took note of the complaint and referred the matter to the second respondent for an enquiry. However, no order has been passed to date.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent herein, the Tahsildar, is directed to conduct an enquiry and pass an order based on the proceedings of the first respondent dated 13.05.2025, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It appears that complicated procedures are being followed by the Therkku Theru people. Until the order is passed, the Kalari function shall not be celebrated.
