ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to reimburse the petitioner's medical expenses as per the petitioner's request dated 24.08.2016.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a pensioner and he is also a subscriber to the Tamil Nadu Government Pensioner's Health Insurance Scheme. The petitioner was suffered from Celudadis and on 19.07.2016, for the said decease, the petitioner had taken treatment in MR Hospitals, Thanjavur, and had discharged on 29.07.2016 from the said hospital. Requesting for reimbursement of the medical expenses by quoting the judgment passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.1408 of 2016 and G.O.Ms.No.171 dated 26.06.2014, the petitioner sent a representation dated 24.08.2016, which has not been considered by the respondent concerned so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent concerned to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.08.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
