Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission to perform the drama program of Valli Thirumana Nadagam on 26.02.2017 at night at Sri Chinnayan Swami Tample, Keeranur, Poonchuthi Post, Melur Taluk, Madurai District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.02.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Valli Thirumana Nadagam in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that a representation has been given on 21.02.2017, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 21.02.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
