Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. The writ petitioner is a land lord of the petition mentioned premises. The respondent Bank was his tenant for over 15 years. The petitioner has vacated the premises sometime in March 2020. According to the petitioner, the Bank had made certain illegal alteration in the building and that therefore the Bank is obliged to pay the petitioner a sum of Rs.15,00,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs only) towards compensation. Such relief cannot be granted in writ proceeding. The issue will have to be agitated only elsewhere.
3. Granting such liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as not-maintainable. I make it clear that the time spent in this writ petition will be excluded for the purpose of computing limitation. There shall be no order as to costs.
