: Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the third respondent to conduct effective manner of investigation in all respects of nabbing the accused and filing final report thereon in Crime No.326 of 2019, on the file of the third respondent Police.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent Police to conduct the investigation in Crime No.326 of 2019 and file a final report.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that based on a complaint given by the petitioner, a First Information Report has been registered in Crime No.326 of 2019 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294 (b), 420, 323, 506 (i) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 and now, it is pending on the file of the third respondent Police. After registration of the First Information Report, the third respondent has not conducted the investigation in a proper manner, hence, the present petition has been filed. 3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that on 06.05.2019, based on a direction issued by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.6, Madurai, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the case in Crime No.326 of 2019 was registered by the third respondent Police and now the investigation is going on and they will file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that now the investigation is in progress, the third respondent is directed to proceed with the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
