For Respondent : Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, Additional Public Prosecutor PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No. 11/2024 on the file of the Respondent Police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.05.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 9(1), 9(n) r/w. 10 (2 counts) of POCSO Act and Section 506(i) I.P.C, in Crime No.11 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had misbehaved with the victim girl, who is his own daughter, and committed sexual assault against her, who 1/3

is aged about 16 years.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner is in custody from 13.05.2024. Hence, he prayed to grant bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would strongly oppose this petition on the ground that the investigation is pending and there are 3 victims. After investigation, charge sheet has been filed. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the serious allegation as against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with a direction to the trial Court to dispose of the trial within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
