ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Graduate Warden (English) in the existing vacancy at Government Adi Dravidar Welfare Boys Hostel, Kanniappapillaipatti, Theni District, based on the seniority and promotional panel sent by the 2nd respondent dated 20.09.2016 and 24.01.2017 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The request of the petitioner has been culminated into a proposal as could be seen from the communications dated 21.08.2014 and 08.09.2014 of the respondents 1 and 2 for promotion of the petitioner.

3.At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there is a vacancy in the post of Graduate Warden (English) at Government Adi Dravidar Welfare Boys Hostel, Kanniappapillaipatti, Theni District, and the petitioner may be accommodated in the said vacancy.

4.In view of the above submission and communications dated 21.08.2014 and 08.09.2014, the respondents are directed to consider the request of the petitioner before filling up the vacancy at Government Adi Dravidar Welfare Boys Hostel, Kanniappapillaipatti, Theni District, if the post is not already filled up, and take a decision in accordance with law and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P(MD)No.2733 of 2017 is closed.
