Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to measure the land in survey No.967/2 situated at Sri Vengateshwarapuram Village, Sathankulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District on the basis of his application to the respondent dated 13.01.2017.

Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent to survey his land referred to in the writ petition. To that effect, he has already made a representation on 13.01.2017, which according to the petitioner, has not been considered so far.

3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition and without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, I only direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.01.2017 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, also by hearing other rival parties, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
