Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of his land comprised in Old Survey No.279/2, corresponding to UDR Sr.No.451/1 and 451/18 measuring an extent of 13.360 cents situated in Melamudimannarkottai Village, Kamudhi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District by considering his representation, dated 24.09.2015 within a time frame as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent to issue individual patta in his name in respect of the property referred to in the Writ Petition. To that effect, he has already made a representation on 24.09.2015, which, according to the petitioner, has not been considered so far.

4. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, I only direct the respondent to consider the above representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, also after hearing the rival claimants if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
