PRAYER : Writ Petition Criminal filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the impugned order passed by the fifth respondent under proceeding Na.Ka.No.3876/2025/Aa7 dated 03.06.2025 and to quash the same as illegal and further direct the seventh, eighth and ninth respondents to jointly conduct the 6th day mandagapadi festival along with Manjal Neeratu festival to the Sri Muthumariyamman Temple and further direct the second and sixth respondents to provide adequate protection to the festival.

2. In W.P.Crl.(MD) No.87 of 2025, the petitioner has challenged the proceedings of the Tahsildar, the fifth respondent therein, held during Page No. 4 of 7

the peace committee meeting dated 03.06.2025, wherein the Tahsildar made certain observations regarding the temple festival scheduled on 06.06.2025 and 07.06.2025 at Sri Muthumariyamman Temple, Silattur Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukottai District. The aforesaid proceedings of the Tahsildar dated 03.06.2025 were set aside by the Revenue Divisional Officer, the fourth respondent in W.P.Crl.(MD) No.87 of 2025 and the second respondent in W.P.(MD) No.15599 of 2025, by order dated 05.06.2025.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner in W.P.(MD) No.15599 of 2025 submits that these Writ Petitions have become infructuous, as the temple festival has already taken place on 06.06.2025 and 07.06.2025.

4. Considering the same, both these Writ Petitions are closed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
