Respondents PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents Nos.1 and 2 to appoint us in the existing vacancies for Part-time Art Education Teacher in the District upon consideration of our candidature and pass such further orders within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R
This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioners for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents Nos.1 and 2 to appoint them in the existing vacancies for Part-time Art Education Teacher in the District upon consideration of their candidature, within the stipulated time.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. Though the Writ petitioners have filed the present Writ petition for issuing a positive direction to the first respondent, the learned counsel for the petitioners submit that it would be sufficient, if a direction is issued to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 01.02.2017.
5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 01.02.2017, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
