O R D E R
(Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) Making a vague allegation that 297.45 acres of land in Saerkudi Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District, that was allotted to Dalits are in the possession of members of other community, the petitioner gave a representation dated 01.02.2022 and has thereafter filed the present public interest litigation for a direction to the respondent to consider the same.
2. Heard Mr.N.Sankar Ganesh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader for the respondents. Ms.V.Senthamil Selvi, Revenue Inspector, Thumbalam Zone, is present before this Court.
3. In the opinion of this Court, a mandamus can be issued only for the enforcement of a public duty and not for consideration of such representation, which do not even have any material particulars.
4. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed as being devoid of merits. No costs.
