ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to direct the third respondent to issue a necessary direction to the 4th respondent to delete the petitioner's name from the history sheet maintained in the 4th respondent police station based on his representation dated 17.08.2021.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was working as lathe worker in Sculpture Workshop. In the year 2014, he was involved in a murder case. The said case was tried in S.C.No.54 of 2017 on the file of the learned VI Additional Session Court, dated 14.02.2020, wherein the petitioner along with 1/3
other accused were acquitted. He would further submit that except the above said case, the petitioner has not involved in any other cases and the Rowdy Sheet was being retained by the respondents herein and the same was being periodically extended. Therefore, he made representation dated 17.08.2021 to the concerned official to close the rowdy sheet. Till now, no action has been taken. Hence, the present petition has been filed.
3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) would submit except the above said case, the petitioner has not involved in any other cases.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the matter, the concerned respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.08.2021, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
