************ This Civil Revision Case has been filed against the order made in Cr.M.P.No.4217 of 2018, on the file of the learned District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Vilathikulam dated 29.08.2018.

2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondent.

3.The matter relates to return of vehicle involved in prohibition offence. Apart from the dispute regarding the identification of the vehicle due to wrong display of the Registration Number, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would also submit that the confiscation proceedings has already been initiated and therefore, no order need be passed in this revision, till the disposal of the confiscation proceedings. It appears from the records produced by the Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that the petitioner herein has been served with a show cause notice to appear before the Additional Superintendent of Police and participate in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

confiscation proceedings.

4.In the light of the above facts, this Criminal Revision Case is disposed of, with the following direction:  The revision petitioner herein shall appear before the Additional Superintendent of Police [PEW], Thoothukudi, on 12.10.2018.

On his appearance, the Additional Superintendent of Police shall record his statement and pass appropriate order in accordance with law regarding the vehicle involved in the offence.
