[Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.02.2017 to the respondents 1 and 2 requesting them to reserve the presidentship of Anjur Village Panchayat to the General category. Since follow up action was not taken, the petitioner has come up with the writ petition.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel for the third respondent.

3. We direct the second respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 04.02.2017, on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 04.02.2017 along with a copy of this order, so as to enable the second respondent to dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
