O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.261 of 2022 from the file of the first respondent Police to the file of the second respondent Police.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has made a complaint before the first respondent Police on 15.06.2022 stating that his son was brutally attacked by the accused persons, pursuant to which, a case was registered in Crime No.261 of 2022 only for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 323 and 324 IPC. However, the first respondent Police has not registered the case under Section 307 IPC and there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents Police submits that during the pendency of this petition, the first respondent Police completed the investigation and prepared a final report altering the offence under Sections 294(b), 323 and 326 IPC. Hence, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. 2/5

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that this Court may issue a direction to the first respondent Police to file a final report within a time stipulated by this Court.

5. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents Police, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, the first respondent Police is directed to file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
