Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation preferred by the petitioner dated 02.02.2017 to remove Seemai Karuvelam (Prosopis Juliflora) trees in the Vennakata Samuthra Kanmai, Tirumangalam, Madurai District within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Mahaboob Athiff for M/s.Ajmal Associates.

For Respondents : Mr.M.Govindan, Special Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to conduct auction for removing the Seemaikaruvelam trees in the tank mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.It is an admitted fact that in W.P(MD)No.16485 of 2015, necessary orders have been passed and thereby directed the

concerned authorities to remove Seemaikaruvalam trees throughout State of Tamil Nadu. Under the said circumstances, the relief sought in the writ petition is totally unwarranted and therefore this writ petition deserves to be dismissed.
