ORDER

Mr.K.Maharajan, learned Central Government Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.K.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) takes notice on behalf of the second respondent.

It is informed by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the second respondent that the petitioner is an accused/A2 in Crime No.133 of 2023 on the file of the second respondent, for the offences under Sections 294b, 323, 506(2) of IPC and that the charge sheet has been filed and the same has been taken cognizance in C.C.No.318 of 2023. Now, the petitioner is absconding and Non-Bailable Warrant has been issued against the petitioner.

3. It is informed that the petitioner is in Singapore and the passport has already been expired.

4. Hence, it is open for the petitioner to approach the Embassy in Singapore for issuance of approval for return on his return. Thereafter, the issue relating to re-issue of fresh passport will be considered, subject to the appearance of the petitioner before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kamudi in C.C.No.318 of 2023.
