ORDER
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction, directing the respondent to change the name in the Patta Nos. 471 and 866 as "Va.Periyasamy Athar, Nattar, Maruthuvar Madam" from the name of Muthuramalingam Athar Nattar Maruthuvar Madam, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.12.2015 and Sections 10 & 12 of Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act 1983.

2.According to the petitioner, they said to have filed an application before the respondent/Tahsildar, on 16.12.2015, for change of name in patta Nos.471 and 866 as "Va.Periyasamy Athar, Nattar Maruthuvar Madam" from the name of Muthuramalingam Athar Nattar Maruthuvar Madam and the said application is pending till date. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions made on either side and perused the documents carefully.
4.Today, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that as per circular, issued by the District Revenue Officer, dated 28.09.2016, patta cannot be granted to the property like the petitioner Association.
5.Taking note of the same, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner and pass orders by giving notice to the petitioner, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
